Queen's University | Pediatric Neurologist

The Department of Pediatrics in Queen's Health Sciences invites applications for a full time academic pediatric neurologist. Preference will be given to applicants who are Royal College or American Board certified in pediatric neurology and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The successful applicant must be Royal College certified in pediatric neurology and have additional training and/or experience in neuromuscular disorder and acquired brain injury management. This position will focus on ambulatory consultations as a pediatric neurologist, as well as consultations from inpatients and from the Kingston Health Sciences Center regional catchment area.

As a full-time member of the Department of Pediatrics, the successful applicant must demonstrate a strong aptitude for teaching in undergraduate, postgraduate levels and continuing education programs. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated evidence of a history of high quality research or with a strong emerging research focus and the potential for developing an independent research program. Applicants should also provide evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment.

Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree (or equivalent) and have or will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Completion of training and qualifications in General Pediatrics is required.
